Reservoir Lázbérci of Dédestapolcsány:
Reservoir Lázbérci providing home for the fishing paradise of the area is prominently beautiful and is grandiose regarding its dimensions – it stores water of 6 millions km3, the average depth of water is 7.5 metres, whereas its greatest possible sounding is 16.5 metres of the space in front of the barrier.
The lake is situated in the Lázbérci Tájvédelmi Körzet (the Landscape Protection Area of Lázbérc). The measure of this area is 3670 acres, out of which 683 acres are highly protected. This contains the reservoir and its surrounding bank of 120 metres.
The reservoir was set up between 1967 and 1969. In 1970 it was handed over in order to provide the drinking water supply. The primary reason for setting up the landscape protection area was to protect the quality of the water of the reservoir. The lake, the brooks and the surrounding forest provide a fortunate habitat for many strictly protected and simply beautiful plants and animals. It is a preferred place for fishing, however, other sports such as swimming or boating are banned due to conservationist rules. It is worth wandering around in Salamader Trail since one part of it has been developed along the lake; the other part leads in the forest. Thus, we can observe many different symbioses during our journey.
The rules of fishing, fish stock:
Fishing hours: summer 5 a.m. – 9 p.m., winter 6 a.m. – 7 p.m. The distribution of the fish stock: common carp – 60%, northern pike - 2%, pike-perche – 10%, common bream – 0.8%, carp – 0.8%, white bream – 1%, dwarf catfish 1%. Limitations on the caught amount per day: 2 pieces of non-predatory fish, 1 piece of predatory fish, 5 kilos of other.
Selling daily tickets by GYŐRFI András, Dédestapolcsány, Felszabadítók Street 4; KELEMEN György, Uppony. Price of a daily ticket: adult – 2100 Forints, youth – 1000 Forints.
Feeding: only with feeding netProhibition time: 15, Feb – 28, April for predatory fishes. Night fishing: none. Ice fishing: none. Trolling: allowed. Entering the roads around the lake is allowed only with permission. Boat-fishing: banned!
Frequency of locating fish: June, September, November.

Lake of Tardona:
It is a really pleasant lake that was formed based on the fishermen’s needs. On its bank you can go for a walk and in its buffet you can buy delicious roast fish. Between 15 September and 15 April fishing is allowed from 7 a.m. to darkness. Regarding night fishing an appointment must be made with the lake-keeper beforehand.
Between 16 April and 14 September day-light fishing operates from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Night fishing runs from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m..There is neither prohibition time nor limitations on species and size, but there exist record fishes! Daily ticket can be bought on the premises. Additional ticket is needed for the ’fun bath’. By the lake a smaller fishing shop operates. In the winter ice fishing is possible and also fishing on a certain part of the lake can be done.
Lake of Vadna:
In Park Vadna, at the border of Vadna, by the road no. 26, fishermen are on the lurk throughout the year. Due to the continuous locating of fishes they are not in vain. Daily, 6-month and annual tickets can be bought on the premises.
